means I have to drop the fuel tank. As it is, the fuel pressure
regulator is underneath the upper intake ... Oh, and the tachometer is
going back to Autometer for service. Stuck at 2K rpm, don't know why.
Yeah, and the electric fan sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I think
I just need to rewire the +12V switched source on that one.

and then the solar power source, which derives energy from the sun,
and the two will be connected with an electrical cable.

Germany Leader in Solar Power

Germany is a global leader in solar power, largely due to the country's generous feed in tariff program that pays a premium rate on all electricity produced by solar farms and home solar power systems. Germany is the world's top solar panel installer, accounting for almost half of the market in 2007.

 

This is more to do with electricity generation via photo voltaic cells rather than solar heating and solar powered water pumps but it's interesting to read that Germanyt is leading the way with the implementation of this technology

Welcome to 12v Water Pump Blog

This is a blog about the 12v Water Pump, yes it is. No, of course it's not a blog BY a 12 v water pump, that would be silly. They have no sense of calendar for a start, well not the humble little workhorses of the type that we will be dealing with here. So how can a water pump, 12 volt or otherwise be a worthy subject for a blog with regular updates you may ask, and I shall be attempting not only to answer the question, but also turn a good portion of my online audience into 12 v water pump enthusiasts themselves, if not active evangelists for the cause.

Water pumps, direct current (12v DC)

The thing is, everything electrical that plugs into the mains sockets in a domestic or commercial environment in the UK, and it's the UK that we are mostly concerned about here, they all start off using AC or alternating current. If you took one of those devices and wanted to run it in a non-mains environment, such as in a caravan, boat , mobile home or a house away from the main electric grid, then you'd have a problem because there isn't any 24v current available. There are such things as inverters aI think they are called, which can take 12 volt DC current and step it up to 20v AC but they are cumbersome, noisy heavy things that require enormously thick wires for all the connections. It might just be worth it if it's important to watch a domestic Television on board your luxury yacht, or to run a small washing machine from a caravan perhaps, but on the whole it's much better to seek out 12v DC devices and keep away from high voltage entirely. Safety reasons are another consideration.



So if you are keeping away from 240 volts AC as suggested and you want to move some water around, then that;s where the 12v water pump comes into its own. In the next few posts we'll be looking at a number of practical applications for a 12v water pump, both real and as examples.
